Sarwatch Clan Foal Together 18 Sep 2009
On Tuesday Pencarrow Stud welcomed fillies into the world from Group 2 ARC Royal Stakes winner Sarwatch (Jetball) and two of her daughters, Promethean (Grand Lodge) and Star Charm (Cape Cross).

Promethean (pictured with foal), a winner of three races, foaled her bay filly by Postponed first.

Good enough to run fourth in the Group 2 Eight Carat Classic in her classic year, Promethean foaled for the first time last year, a filly by Darci Brahma which will be retained to be raced by the Stud.

Sarwatch followed close after her first foal Promethean with a striking bay filly by leading sire O’Reilly.

The filly is Sarwatch’s seventh foal with her highlight race-track performer being leading Singapore sprinter Noble Manor (Stravinsky), the winner of six races.
Sarwatch will be represented by a Redoute’s Choice colt at Karaka’s 2010 National Yearling Sales.

Rounding up the Sarwatch trifecta, placed mare Starcharm foaled down her first foal to add to one of Pencarrow Stud’s foundation family’s, a bay filly by Darci Brahma.

The family is of course highlighted by Sarwatch’s dam Riverina Charm (Sir Tristram) who claimed four Group 1 races in the Vela colours including the Canterbury Guineas, the Rosehill Guineas, and VRC 1000 Guineas.

Further back this is the family of last season’s Group 1 Queen of the Turf Stakes winner Neroli (Viscount) as well as Group 1 racehorses and current stallions Librettist, Dubai Destination, and Agnes World.

2009 matings have been confirmed for both Sarwatch (Stravinsky) and Starcharm (Darci Brahma).
