A close relative to Pencarrow’s Group One Australian Guineas winner FEROCE (NZ), ISLAND LIFE (NZ) is out of the unraced Lycia (NZ), a half-sister to Corinthia (NZ) – the dam of FEROCE (NZ). She has quickly built an impressive black-type résumé, placing second in the Group Three Wellington Stakes, third in the Group Two Sir Patrick Hogan Stakes, and most recently delivering a deserved breakthrough victory in the $150,000 Group Three Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Sunline Vase (2100m) at Ellerslie.
