Pencarrow Stud will be a recipient of one of the coveted trophies at the Waikato Breeders' annual Cathay Pacific Group 1 dinner being held at the Kingsgate Hotel in Hamilton on Friday July 25.

Pencarrow Stud will collect its Group 1 trophy at this year's dinner for breeding the Gr. 1 New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas winner Insouciant.

The Keeper filly also claimed the prestigious New Zealand Bloodstock Filly Of The Year series for the 2007/08 racing season.

The dinner recognises the deeds of Waikato thoroughbred breeders who have bred Group 1 winners during the racing season.

This year the Waikato branch members bred a total of 19 Group 1 winners.
