Madeline Noblet Fights Fresh.

The John Symons and Shelia Laxon trained Pencarrow mare Madeline Noblet has dug deep to record her second win from 14 starts at Echuca over 1200m in the Rising Stars C1 Handicap.

Ridden by A Thompson, Madeline Noblet (No Excuse Needed x Romanee Conti, by Sir Tristram) bounced out of the barriers nicely and quickly took up position in the trail. After enjoying a beautiful trip Madeline Noblet found herself in front soon after straightening as the leader tired after over racing. Left a sitting duck the Pencarrow mare had to fight off a late challenge, knuckling down to score a well deserved win.

The ninth foal from the wonderful Hong Kong International Cup winner Romanee Conti, Madeline Noblet is a half-sister to Ethereal (Rhythm) the famous Cups double queen.

Now retired from stud duties, Romanee Conti has three daughters to carry on in her footsteps with Ethereal in foal to Pins with a Encosta De Lago filly at foot, Romanee St. Vivant(Jetball) in foal to Henrythenavigator and Velvet and Satin (Carnegie) also in foal to Pins and an O’Reilly filly at foot.

Represented in the National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale at Karaka from the 3-5 May Lot 600 Soixante (Rock of Gilbraltor) is out of a three-quarter sister to Romanee Conti, in Our Echezeaux.
