Day One Of 2008 Karaka Yearling Sales

Pencarrow Stud's leading priced lot on day one of the 2008 Karaka Yearling Sales was a Zabeel x Desert Lily colt which was sold for $550,000.
The successful purchaser was Mr David Ellis of Te Akau Stud.
The colt is from the outstanding Eight Carat family which has produced the likes of champion galloper Octagonal and Group 1 winners Marquise and Diamond Lover.
Desert Lily is already the dam of the well-performed Lafleur who was a dual Group 2 winner.
Pencarrow Stud finished day one of the sales with six yearlings sold for $1,427,500.
This represented an average price of $237,917.
