Insouciant Aiming For Telegraph
21 October 2008
Last season's New Zealand Bloodstock Filly Of The Year Insouciant will be given a spell from racing.
Trainer Mark Walker announced the four-year-old mare will be aimed at a start in the $1 million Telegraph Handicap (1200m) at Trentham in January.
"The Telegraph is certainly a very attractive option for her," Walker said.
At her most recent start Insouciant earned more black type with her third placing in the Group 3 Stoney Bridge Stakes at Hawera.
Last season Insouciant took out the Group 1 New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas at Riccarton as well as capturing the Group 3 Eulogy Stakes at Awapuni.
