Dolmabache has delivered a filly that could have a very big influence on the studs fortunes in years to come. An impressive individual by Tavistock from the most current branch of the 'Richebourg' family. Cote D'or was the most recent member of the family to gain black type when winning the Matamata cup recently. Dolmabache will return to Tavistock in 2017.

Pride Of Dubai - Lycia (NZ)

We have been eagerly awaiting the first Pride of Dubai foal at Pencarrow stud. Lycia did not disappoint us when delivering an impressive bay colt by the son of Street Cry. This colt comes from the famous Eight Carat family and combines the genes of O'Reilly, Danehill, and Sir Tristram in his damline.

Darci Brahma - BON GENIE

 Bon Genie has foaled a very athletic colt by outstanding sire Darci Brahma. This Cape cross mare showed great potential on the track in a career that was cut short by injury. Her first foal is a filly by the same sire and has been retained to race by the stud. She will be bred back to Darci Brahma this year.

 Sopra tutto has delivered a full sister to outstanding Groupwinner Eleonora. This foal by Makfi is a different colour, but is reminiscent of her older sister in many other ways. She has a lovely nature and is a very economical mover. Sopra tutto will be bred to Iffraaj this season.

Encosta de Lago mare Goyescas, has delivered an impressive colt by first season sire Mongolian Khan. Goyescas won twice and is from the highly regarded Kensington Gardens family. Her first foal is four-time winner Tonadillas (NZ).

 Pencarrow stud has welcomed the arrival of an imposing Makfi colt from Insouciant. This mare was champion three year old filly in 2007 while racing in the stud colours. She will offer a colt by Ocean Park in the Pencarrow draft for 2018. Insouciant will be bred to Vadamos this season.

 Huluava has delivered a colt by the highly regarded young sire Complacent. This athletic colt is a half brother to William Wallace who has created a great impression in his short career to date. Huluava is also a half sister to Hasselhoof, winner of the Group 2 Rich Hill mile. She will be bred to Darci Brahma this season.

Lonhro - SECRET LILY

 Secret lily got her breeding career off to a great start when producing a very smart colt by Lohnro. This mare is a half sister to Lafleur who is a multiple group two winner and was placed in the New Zealand Oaks. This is a cornerstone family for the stud so it is very encouraging to see a young mare making such a good early impression.

Papilio set a very high standard when she delivered her lovely filly by Tavistock. A stakeswinning daughter of Redoute's Choice and Lafleur. This mare is also a half sister to Group winner Amaryllis. She has a Pins colt in the Pencarrow yearling draft for 2018.

Tavistock - Our Ella Belle (NZ)

 Pencarrow Stud welcomed the fourth foal from Our Ella Belle when she delivered a quality filly by Tavistock. This Encosta de lago mare was placed behind Katie Lee in the One Thousand Guineas and won the Group 3 Taranaki cup. Her colt by Exceed and Excel will feature in the stud draft for the 2018 New Zealand Bloodstock Sales.

 Adolay has foaled her third foal, an impressive bay colt by promising sire Shamexpress. Adolay is a black type performer from the family of outstanding mare Clear Rose. She was a very competitive racemare and promises to throw horses with similar qualities.

Not A Single Doubt - Choreography (NZ)

 Choreography reintroduced colts to the foaling roster when producing her first foal, a colt by Not a Single Doubt. This mare is a half sister to Rasa lila and Posavina both group winners. Not A Single Doubt recently capped a purple patch of form when siring the Caufield Guinneas winner Mighty Boss.

Star Witness (AUS) - Boito Belle (NZ)

 Pencarrow stud welcomed the arrival of their first Star Witness foal when Boito Belle delivered her filly by that sire. Boito Belle is a half sister to outstanding mare Winning Belle who in turn is the dam of Group one winner Plucky Belle. This is one of the foundation of families of the stud and it is still going strong after 30 years.

 Lucky be lucky has foaled an impressive filly by first season sire Kermadec. Already the dam of three black type horses, this Storm Cat mare always leaves a good type of foal and this year is no exception. Kermadec is a son of Street cry and includes a Doncaster win among his list of credits.

Ruppertsberg has delivered a very attractive filly by Per Incanto. This Montjeu mare is the dam of Adolay a black type performer and also Meritaggio the winner of 5 races. She was recently represented by impressive debut winner Sky Rocket. The Darci Brahma Gelding shows great promise in Singapore.

Sacred Falls - Pink Bubbles (NZ)

The run of fillies continues with the arrival of a classy filly by Sacred falls from Pink Bubbles. Pink Bubbles is a daughter of Pins and is from the family of Ethereal and Darci Brahma. She showed great promise winning her first start before being sidelined with injury. Her first foal is a filly by Bernadini who has been retained to race in the stud colours.

Tavistock - Guiseppina (NZ)

 Guiseppina has delivered one of the stars of the season when foaling a lovely filly by proven sire Tavistock. This outstanding racemare won a group one sprint at 1200m and had the distinction of running second in a group one 2040m race. Her first foal is a three year old filly by Fastnet rock and will embark on her racing career from the Ramsey, Ritchie stable.

Shamexpress - VILLARS

 Villars has produced her second foal a filly by promising sire Shamexpress. This mare is a daughter of Stratum and from the family of Hasselhoof and Vercors. William Wallace is another promising member of the family who is due to resume racing in the near future.

Arpeggio has foaled a colt by multiple Group One winner Dundeel. This mare won four of her first seven starts and showed great natural talent on the track. The colt is line bred to Sadlers Wells in a very similar fashion to outstanding mare Enable.

Pour Moi - TERROIR

 Pour Moi joined a very select group of stallions who were able to win an English derby and also sire the winner of the prestigious classic. Terroir has delivered a very impressive filly by this sire and we look forward to racing her in the stud colours. This foal is out of a Danehill mare and is the granddaughter of a Storm cat mare. She has the pedigree to be a very exciting filly.

Starspangledbanner - POLYNESIA

 Polynesia has delivered her first foal, a filly by outstanding racehorse and sire Starspangledbanner. This young High Chaparral mare was a winner on two occassions and produced a host of creditable performances in tough company. While Starspangledbanner has been hampered by fertility issues he has proven himself to be a very capable sire and this filly will be a welcome addition to the stud's racing team.

 Barbadine has delivered a filly by champion miler Charm Spirit.This Giant's Causeway mare won on three occasions and comes from a prolific european family noted for producing top class fillies. Barbadine has a yearling full sister to this foal who will be retained by the stud.

 Fair Isle has produced one of the most impressive foals of the year, with the arrival of her filly by Golden slipper winner Vancouver. This Fastnet rock mare has passed on her own impressive physic to her first foal. A daughter of outstanding racemare Miss Scarlatti this young mare promises to have a significant career in the broodmare paddock.

From the well established family of Riverina Charm and Sarwatch this young mare should cross very well with a stallion of Dissident's quality.  Opito bay started a run of fillies from maiden mares when she produced a quality bay filly by Exosphere. From a European family steeped in black type this young mare will be bred to a Pencarrow product in Darci Brahma this season. Being bred to two such outstanding racehorses in her first two years at stud should provide a good platform for her breeding career.

Tavistock - Lafleur

 Lafleur has delivered a classic filly by outstanding sire Tavistock. This foal is bred on the Zabeel/Tavistock cross and has the added benefit of the Eight Carat family behind her. Lafleur won the Royal Stakes and the Sir Tristram Fillies Classic in the studs colours. Her first two foals have reached black type status.

 Posavina has foaled an impressive colt by Ocean Park. This Mare won the Lowland stakes Gr3 defeating Oaks winner Keep the Peace in the process. The family has been to the fore in recent years with the performances of half sister Rasa Lila who won both the Cuddle stakes and the Dulcie stakes during a stellar career.

Biddable has delivered her second foal, a filly by promising sire Reliable Man. This daughter of Exceed and Excel won 4 times in the stud colours and is a granddaughter of the great Pencarrow mare Ethereal. Her first foal is a colt by Reset who will be offered at the NZB sales series in January.

Medaglia D O'ro - Miss Scarlatti (NZ)

One of the highlights of the season has been the arrival of a strapping bay colt by Medaglia D'oro from outstanding racing mare Miss Scarlatti. Miss Scarlatti was a stakeswinner in Melbourne and ran second to Samantha Miss in the VRC Oaks and the Wakeful stakes. She will be bred to Tavistock this season.

Kendoka has produced a threequarter sister to oustanding galloper Turn me Loose. This filly by Iffraaj is very typical of the family and boasts a pedigree which represents some of the best stallions in the world. Kendoka was a very competitive racemare and has made a great start to her breeding career having produced a smart colt by Per Incanto last year.

Assume has foaled a quality filly by champion racehorse Frankel. This filly is very athletic and exudes quality. Assume is a daughter of Fastnet rock and was able to achieve black type on three occassions. Pencarrow stud has bred to Frankel since his retirement to stud and currently race his son Eminent who recently won at Group Two level.

Burgundy is another member of the family creating headlines as his first crop of runners attract the attention of many good judges.
